Debut in ‘Hérodiade’ at Deutsche Oper Berlin
Matthew Polenzani makes his greatly anticipated debut as Jean in Massenet’s Hérodiade at Deutsche Oper Berlin on June 15 & 18. Enrique Mazzola conducts a concert version of this rare masterwork and a star-studded group of soloists, including Etienne Dupuis as Hérode, Clémentine Margaine as the title role, Nicole Car as Salomé, Marko Mimica as Phanuel, and Dean Murphy as Vitellius, among others.
The performances of HÉRODIADE on 15 and 18 June 2023 will be recorded. A CD of this production will be produced as a collaboration between Naxos/OEHMS and Deutsche Oper Berlin.
