Role Debut in ‘Tosca’ at Savonlinna Opera Festival
This July, Matthew Polenzani will premiere the role of Mario Cavaradossi in Puccini’s Tosca at the Savonlinna Opera Festival. This exciting role debut further cements Mr. Polenzani’s place as one of the most versatile and exciting tenors of his time.
Joining Mr. Polenzani in this brilliant cast will be Miina-Liisa Värelä as Floria Tosca, Ludovic Tézier as Baron Scarpia, Arttu Kataja as Cesare Angelotti, Kristian Lindroos as Sacristan, Matias Haakana as Spoletta, Nicholas Söderlund as Sciarrone, Roman Chervinko as Jailer and Mirjami Hanhisalo as Shepherd. Keith Warner’s stunning production of the perennial favorite will be led by Maestro Lorenzo Passerini.
Performances take place on July 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15.
