Role debut as Rodolfo in La Bohème

Puccini’s romantic depiction of bohemian Paris, with wonderful music and a love story drawn from everyday life, has captivated audiences around the world, making Puccini’s La Bohème one of the best-loved of all operas. From June 16 until July 14, Matthew Polenzani debuts as Rodolfo at the Royal Opera House, in a new production by Richard Jones.

Nicola Luisotti is on the podium and Mr. Polenzani is joined on stage by Maria Agresta as Mimì, Danielle de Niese as Musetta, Etienne Dupuis as Marcello, Duncan Rock as Schaunard, Fernando Javier Radó as Colline and Jeremy White as Benoît.

The performance on June 26 is part of the BP Big Screens program, which feature free outdoor screenings live from the Royal Opera House this summer.
