Mozart’s ‘Die Zauberflöte’ at Lyric Opera of Chicago

Matthew Polenzani stars as Tamino, a role for which he has been lauded for his “sweet tenor voice and wholesome appeal” (New York Times), in Mozart’s ever-popular Die Zauberflöte, launching the new year at Lyric Opera of Chicago. Performances take place January 12, 14, 17, 22, 25 & 27, with Christiane Karg as Pamina, Kathryn Lewek as the Queen of the Night, Adam Plachetka sings Papageno, and Christof Fischesser is Sarastro.
