Matthew Polenzani makes another role debut at the Met with La Clemenza di Tito

After making his debut in Iolanta at the Metropolitan Opera, Matthew Polenzani appears at Carnegie Hall on February 24 to sing a recital which will also feature Jennifer Johnson Cano, Kathleen O’Mara, Marie Engle and Megan Grey, all accompanied by pianist Julius Drake.

He then performs with pianist Anthony Manoli at Palm Beach Opera’s largest annual fundraising event on March 2 before returning to New York to star as the title role in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito, adding yet another role to his extensive Mozartean repertoire. Joyce DiDonato sings Sesto and Elza van den Heever is Vitellia, with Ying Fang, Emily D’Angelo, and bass Christian Van Horn completing the principal cast. Lothar Koenigs conducts. The performances take place from March 30 until April 20.
