Mozart’s ‘Idomeneo’ at the Metropolitan Opera
Matthew Polenzani stars at the Metropolitan Opera in the title role of Idomeneo, a role for which he has been lauded for his “magnificent tenor voice” (Express). This classic production by Jean–Pierre Ponnelle will be conducted by the beloved Music Director Emeritus of the Metropolitan Opera, James Levine. Mr. Polenzani is joined by an all-star cast featuring Alice Coote as Idamante, Nadine Sierra as Ilia, and Elza van den Heever as Elettra. Performances take place on March 6, 10, 13, 17, 21 & 25.
